Pulau Perhentian (pulau means "island" in Bahasa Malay) is located in the South China Sea, on the east coast of Malaysia, almost in Thailand. It takes about four hours to drive there from Kuantan. We were able to park our car in a locked compound (5 RM/day or about $1.25) and took a small "fast boat" over to the resort's jetty. This took about 30 minutes and cost 60RM each return (or about $15.00). It was a perfect place to celebrate Steph's 21st birthday on April 29th and to end her three-week stay with us before retuning to New Zealand. Jumpa lagi...
